Written by Staff Report | May 21, 2026 | 2:45 AM

All right college sports fans, wide receiver Jamarin Simmons has committed to the Tigers for Clemson football’s 2027 recruiting class. It’s a big early win for wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham and offensive coordinator Chad Morris (not to mention head coach Dabo Swinney, a former receivers coach himself). They call Simmons, from Tallahassee, Fla., “Waffle House,” because it seems he’s always open! He measures up at 5-11, 165 pounds, and is a consensus four-star prospect out of Godby High School. He is committed to join Clemson before the 2027 season, when current star receivers Bryant Wesco and T.J. Moore will become draft eligible. Longtime sports journalists Daniel Shirley and Bill Zimmerman have analysis of Simmons’ game, his importance in the program, the impact he can have on this recruiting class for Swinney, and much more.
