Clemson homecoming: Tigers offense needs work after bye week
All right, college sports fans -- the Clemson offense has gotten more things right this year than the defense as the Tigers have struggled to a 3-4 record, but there's a lot of work to be done nonetheless. Adam Randall's dedication hasn't been enough to establish a running game behind a problematic offensive line that's taken a step back this season. Christopher Vizzina's potential wasn't enough to improve on Cade Klubnik's issues in the passing game. And the receivers can't quite shake the drops. We get into a few things that have been plaguing assistant coaches Garrett Riley, Matt Luke and CJ Spiller during the Tigers' first seven games. Clemson homecoming kickoff time announced for Duke game Nov. 1
Clemson football's 2025 homecoming game Nov. 1 against Duke will kick off at noon, the ACC announced Monday morning.
TV viewers can find the game on the ACC Network.
Clemson enters the game at 3-4 (2-3 ACC) with questions about the health of its starting quarterback, Cade Klubnik. He missed Saturday's game against SMU and Christopher Vizzina started in his place.
The Tigers have lost five straight home games to Power Four competition, meaning schools from the ACC, SEC, Big Ten or Big 12. Three of their next four games are at home, including Duke as the homecoming opponent and Florida State the following week. Clemson is off this week.
Duke enters the game at 4-3 (3-1), having just lost to Georgia Tech. Starting quarterback Darien Mensah, a transfer portal acquisition, has averaged more than 300 yards per game with 17 touchdowns against two interceptions.
